How Andy(owner) and Virginia(co-owner) got started
The end of Virginia’s Air Force service was where it started for us. While serving, she gained excellent management, timekeeping, and organizational skills as an Aviation Resource Manager. She was awarded the Air Force Service Medal for her service as an Honor Guard member then deployed to Saudi Arabia and gained some great life experience as well as perspective as a female worker in a predominantly male working environment.
We met at our church in North Dakota (where Virginia is from) in Sunday school class. At that time, Virginia was working as a postman(woman) and had a rural mail route on unforgivable country roads. She mentioned that she wanted to learn how to fix her car. Andy mentioned he could help her out with that and so our first date was replacing a fuel pump in a Dodge RAM 1500 in 20-degree weather. We were married 6 short months later.
Growing up on a farm in Texas, Andy has always been a handyman and learned to fix things instead of buying them new. He gained his professional experience working as a landscaper and car mechanic. His experience with electronics comes from fixing his own and others’ electronics. Virginia suggested to him that they should start their own company together with him being the handyman since he had been spending more and more time doing handyman work and she would do the bookkeeping. With lots of help, love, and support from our family and friends, here we are.
